What is Dermaforce?

Dermaforce is an advanced radiofrequency microneedling treatment that uses ultra-fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin while simultaneously delivering RF energy deep into the dermis. The treatment heats collagen fibres in the dermis to 55°C-65°C, stimulating the body’s natural healing process and encouraging collagen and elastin production.

What skin concerns does it treat?

Dermaforce effectively treats loose and sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and pigmentation, stretch marks, acne scarring, large pores, and poor skin texture. It can be used on both face and body areas including the brow area, crow’s feet, jowls, jawline, neck, décolletage, abdomen, and above the knees.

What are the benefits?

The dual-action process stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to firm, tighten, and rejuvenate the skin with deeper skin remodelling than traditional microneedling. The device uses a vacuum system to ensure even depth delivery and accurate needle placement for optimal results. Due to insulated needles, it’s the most comfortable RF microneedling treatment available, often not requiring numbing cream.

What happens during treatment?

The treatment area is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied to minimise discomfort. The device uses 36 fine, gold-plated needles (only 0.12mm for comfort) to deliver radiofrequency energy through a 1cm² tip. Treatment times typically range from 20-60 minutes depending on the area being treated. You’ll expect to feel a warm sensation during the treatment.

Does it hurt?

Dermaforce is pain-free compared to traditional derma rolling, and numbing creams are often not required due to the fine insulated needles. You might feel a mild prickling or tingling sensation, but numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort throughout the session. The fine 0.12mm diameter needles deliver more comfortable treatments than other devices.

What should I expect after treatment?

You should expect some redness and minor swelling for 24-72 hours after treatment, with mild bruising also possible. Recovery timeline includes 1-2 days of mild redness, tightness and heat, followed by 2-3 days when redness reduces with possible minor skin dryness and flaking. Full recovery occurs in 4-5 days, with most patients healing completely within 24 hours.

What aftercare is required?

Stop all skincare products containing active ingredients 3 days prior to treatment and discontinue use for 3-5 days after. Use gentle products to keep skin clean and hydrated, avoid harsh chemicals or exfoliants, and wear SPF 30+ sunscreen. Avoid activities like swimming, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, or gym for 48 hours. Mild symptoms can be alleviated by applying hyaluronic acid and good quality moisturiser.

When will I see results?

You will start to see results after your initial treatment, with skin looking fresh and plump immediately after. Within 1 week, skin begins to look smoother, firmer, and more radiant, with collagen production continuing for 1-3 months and peak results appearing after 3 months. Improvement in collagen health becomes visible at 4-6 weeks.

How many treatments do I need?

Most clients require a course of 3-6 sessions depending on the treatment area and specific skin concerns, usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Although results can be seen following a one-off treatment, a course of three treatments is typically recommended for optimal results. An annual maintenance treatment is recommended to maintain results.

How long do results last?

Results are expected to last up to 2 years with annual maintenance treatments recommended. Results can last 12-18 months, depending on skincare routine and lifestyle factors.
